Assistant Facilities Maintenance Manager

We’re Hiring
We’re currently looking for an Assistant Facilities Maintenance Manager to be located in Dowagiac, Michigan. Your role will change by the season and primarily consist of maintaining clean, safe and efficient company-owned facilities. This role provides the potential for advancement. Depending on your experience the role could be adjusted to align with your skills.
This position is well suited for someone that:
• Is passionate about maintaining clean, safe work environments.
• Is bilingual: English / Spanish
• Enjoys working outdoors and are comfortable with the longer hours especially during peak seasons
• Is energetic and has the ability to produce quality results in a consistent and timely manner over extended time periods
• General knowledge of all skilled trades (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, general construction)
• Ability to communicate well with others

Compensation is highly determined by skills and prior work experience. Seasonal hours (Spring and Fall) will average 40 hours or more per week and non-seasonal hours will average 20-30 per week.
Daily Tasks
• Routine maintenance of buildings, homes and seasonal labor housing units (physical labor)
• Prepare and maintain accurate and timely inspection reports of properties
• Assist in the planning, prioritization, scheduling and performance of all required maintenance
• Adhere to all safety requirements and follow all standard operating procedures
• Communicate effectively with supervisor and team member to complete objectives
• Often work in a fast-paced environment, working against deadlines while maintaining a high level of performance and safety
Required Qualifications
• Experience in organizing projects, setting priorities and meeting deadlines.
• Ability to obtain commercial pesticide applicators license (desired, not required)
• Moderate level construction skills
• Light-to-moderate mechanical skills
Physical Requirements
• Outdoor, industrial and residential environments (often dirty)
• Ability to lift 75 lbs
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
Desired Qualifications
• Experience with agricultural seasonal labor housing compliance
• Bilingual: English / Spanish
