Berrybrook Enterprises is a medium-size, diversified operation located in Dowagiac, Michigan. Available Positions

  • We’re currently looking for a seasonal or full-time year-round Farm Laborer to be located primarily in Dowagiac, Michigan at our Main Farm. Your role will change by the season, and will include general planting, harvesting, and crop maintenance duties.

    This position is well-suited for someone who:

    Can perform work independently, or with a team, with little supervision

    Is excited by variety in your daily work

    Enjoys working outdoors and is comfortable with longer hours, especially during peak seasons

    Is energetic and has the ability to produce quality results in a consistent and timely manner over extended time periods

    Daily Tasks Include (but are not limited to):

    Assist with harvesting of crops, including corn, soybeans, and green beans

    Adhere to all safety requirements and follow all standard operating procedures

    Communicate effectively with supervisor and team member to complete objectives

    Often work in a fast-paced environment, working against deadlines while maintaining a high level of performance and safety

    Other duties as required

    Qualifications

    Valid driver’s license

  • We’re currently looking for a Farm Equipment Operator to be located in Dowagiac, Michigan. Your role will change by the season from operating John Deere planting equipment and monitors to Case harvest equipment diagnosing and troubleshooting repairs.

    This position is well-suited for someone who:

    Is passionate about agriculture; or has relatable skills, such as construction or military, and is looking to get into farming

    Possesses extensive heavy equipment knowledge and has light-to-moderate mechanical skills

    Is excited by variety in your daily work

    Enjoys working outdoors and is comfortable with longer hours, especially during peak seasons

    Is energetic and has the ability to produce quality results in a consistent and timely manner over extended time periods

    Daily Tasks

    Operate farm and heavy equipment including tractors, planters, harvesters, tillage, sprayer, grain carts, bulldozer, etc.

    Assist in walkthrough and maintenance inspections

    Adhere to all safety requirements and follow all standard operating procedures

    Perform pre-use inspections on equipment

    Perform equipment and facility maintenance and repair

    Record and maintain accurate field records

    Communicate effectively with supervisor and team member to complete objectives

    Often work in a fast-paced environment, working against deadlines while maintaining a high level of performance and safety

    Qualifications

    Valid driver’s license

    Ability to obtain commercial pesticide applicators license (desired, not required)
