Who We Are

Located in southwest Michigan, Berrybrook Enterprises is a family-owned and operated farming business led by three brothers—Joe Jr., John, and Scott. Together, they grow and harvest field corn, soybeans, green beans, asparagus, and apples.

With a lifetime of agricultural experience and deep roots in the farming community, each brother brings a unique perspective and commitment to the operation. They believe that staying true to their humble beginnings, caring for the land, and investing in their dedicated employees are essential to building a successful farm for generations to come.

    Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) audits are voluntary audits that verify the fruits and vegetables are produced, packed, handled, and stored to minimize risks of microbial food safety hazards.

  • Committed to Conservation

    We are proud participants in the Conservation Reserve Program (CRP). We are helping improve soil health, protect water quality, provide valuable wildlife habitat, and promote long-term sustainability on our farm.

  • PrimusGFS Certified

    PrimusGFS is a Global Food Safety Initiative recognized audit Certification Program with certification in 22 countries. Endorsed by more than 7,326 organizations, PrimusGFS provides total produce supply chain coverage.

  • Embracing Technology

    We don’t shy away from technology trends. From automated combines to drone scouting, we believe innovation and to up-to-date technology increases yields, improves the efficiency of inputs and builds sustainability and resilience across crop cultivation.

  • The Future of Solar

    The energy created from these panels will help power our cold storage facility and replace up to 75% of our electric usage with renewable energy. Any energy that is not used from these solar panels, especially in our slower months, will be disbursed among other users in the nearby area.

  • Improving Soil Health

    We incorporate sustainable crop rotations to manage nutrients, control erosion and conserve soil moisture.

  • Investing in Knowledge

    As Michigan Ag CORE (Communication, Organization, Relationships, and Engagement) graduates, we are committed to equipping ourselves with the tools and knowledge needed to strengthen our farm’s leadership and support the next generation of agriculture.
